AQUAFIBER™ synthetic structural fibers are a patented, coarse monofilament, self-fibrllating polypropylene/polyethylene blend, specifically engineered to be used as a replacement to welded wire mesh and steel reinforcing in shotcrete pool applications. AQUAFIBER™ is designed to provide concrete with three dimensional reinforcing, enhancing the flexural toughness, impact and fatigue resistance with the added benefit of superior plastic shrinkage cracking control versus welded wire mesh and steel fibers. Dosages vary from 3.0 - 20 lbs/yd3 (1.8-11.5 kg/m3) depending on design requirements.
